Patient Feedback and Complaints Policy

All feedback is welcome, especially if there is an opportunity to learn and improve our working practices. We encourage patients who are not entirely satisfied with their experience or treatment to contact us so we are given the opportunity to rectify the problem and improve the experience for other patients also.

Complaints

We take our patients satisfaction extremely seriously at Periodontics UK and aim to resolve all problems or grievances within the surgery between the clinician giving care and the patient. Any problems the patient encounters should be discussed as soon as possible with the clinician either in the surgery or as soon after as possible.

If the nature of the complaint doesn’t warrant this or in the unlikely event the patient doesn’t wish to bring up the issue with the clinician or may not be satisfied with how their complaint has been handled, the person making the complaint should then put their experience in writing and address it to the practice manager:

If the complaint can be dealt with and both parties can reach a happy conclusion then this will happen within 3 days. Otherwise a letter will be sent to the person raising the complaint within 3 working days to acknowledge the letter has been received and it will then be investigated.

All complaints will be investigated within 10 working days and the patient will be informed of the outcome within that time period. If it will take longer the patient will be notified before the 10 days are over and an explanation given as to why it is taking longer than expected.
